Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using RideTheBound. These terms govern your access to and use of our platform, including our website, mobile application, and all related services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using RideTheBound ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including those who access the Service via Google Sign-In.
2. Description of Service
RideTheBound is a gamified indoor cycling platform that uses real-world satellite terrain data to create virtual cycling experiences. Features include smart trainer connectivity (Bluetooth & ANT+), daily challenges, Zone 2 coaching, Strava synchronisation, and the GeoChallenge post-ride game.
3. Account Registration
You may register using your Google account via OAuth 2.0. By doing so, you grant us permission to access your basic profile information (name, email address, and profile picture) as provided by Google. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under it. You must be at least 13 years old to use this Service.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: (a) use the Service for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to reverse-engineer or tamper with the Service; (c) transmit any harmful, offensive, or disruptive content; (d) impersonate any person or entity; (e) use automated bots or scripts to access the Service without our prior written consent; (f) attempt to gain unauthorised access to any systems or networks connected to the Service.
5. Health & Fitness Data
The Service may process heart rate, cadence, power output, and other fitness metrics transmitted by your connected devices. This data is used solely to provide and improve the Service. You acknowledge that RideTheBound does not provide medical advice and that you should consult a healthcare professional before beginning any new exercise programme.
6. Third-Party Integrations
The Service integrates with Strava and may integrate with other third-party platforms. Your use of those platforms is governed by their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of the Service — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, route data, and software — are owned by RideTheBound and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, RideTheBound shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Cycling carries inherent physical risks; you participate at your own risk.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause or notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. You may delete your account at any time via your profile settings.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Spain, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Spain.
